Monday, 21 June 2004 Shortest Day of the Year I mentioned it last year and I will mention it again now. Today is the shortest day of the year in the southern hemisphere - otherwise known as the winter solstice. And those pesky Northern Hemisphere dwellers see things differently, so this is the summer solstice. It’s funny that the post I did last year has been one of the most read posts.
