audi.com.au powered by asp.net So, I’m checking out the website for my new car and it’s an ASP.NET site. Cool! Now I’m happy!!!! If anyone knows who developed the site - can they please contact me!! Comments Anonymous December 04, 2003 This site is down, right ? Maybe you can get in touch with this guy there: http://weblogs.asp.net/plip/posts/40525.aspx Anonymous December 04, 2003 Site looks really great. Good Job! But few basic things I would like to point out. You have got Trace enabled and Custom Error mode Off. I can see Trace data for all user requests and I changed the query string value in the homepage and it thrown an exception and I can view the entire exception stack. Disable trace and set custom errors mode On. Please donât think I’m criticising or something, I just want to bring those things to your notice. You might have forgot to deploy your production version of web.config file and you must have deployed your dev version of config file, which usually have trace and debug enabled and custom error mode off. Easy to make those mistakes and I myself have done it before and paid a huge price because of that. Anonymous December 04, 2003 frank, Sorry about my previous post, I thought you developed it. Please accept my Apologise. Anonymous December 04, 2003 Frank- It is one of the bloggers on weblogs! He wrote about it only 2 days ago. http://weblogs.asp.net/Plip/posts/40525.aspx Julie Anonymous December 05, 2003 thank you all! ive tracked the developer down Anonymous January 30, 2004 The Audi.com.au site has (I believe) been developed by Mass Media out in Australia, I’m working on the Used Car Locator (yet to go live), with our Australian office http://www.fowles.com.au , Mass Media http://www.massmedia.com.au , Cycle Carriage http://www.cyclecarriage.co.nz/ and obviously Audi http://www.audi.com.au I’ll Blog when the Used Audi Locator goes live.
